5/21/07: After seven months since signing off, Classic Hits KFRC/San Francisco has returned, albeit on a different frequency. Now the hits from the 1960s - early 1980s are on 106.9 FM, replacing the Free FM Talk format. The talk is moving to 1550. KFRC, which was on 99.7 FM left the airwaves last September to become Rhythmic AC "Movin." This year has become a timewarp, hasn't it? First KCNL (Channel 104-9) returned to the Bay Area airwaves in Februaryafter 13 months. Then Country returning to San Francisco in LA in the same week and now KFRC. What's next? And it's also ironic that KFRC-FM is on 106.9, which used to be Family Radio's KEAR. (Family Radio is now on KFRC's old at 610 AM.)
